Blithfield Reservoir

This 790-acre lake is set in the rolling hills of Blithe Valley in Staffordshire. We will concentrate our visit at Tad Bay where we’ll be able to see plenty of water birds and then explore the woodlands around the shores. No facilities on site, toilets in nearby village. Start from car park near WS15 3PL

Summer Leys (Beds, Cambs & Northants WLT)

Our trip in Oct ’24 had to be postponed because of flooding. Mid-April should be a whole lot more clement and give us the opportunity to see summer visitors at this old gravel pit now transformed into an important haven for breeding and wading birds. Visitor Centre with café and toilets. NN29 7TD
