This Nottinghamshire site is a former quarry which is being returned to nature. There are reedbeds and woodlands aplenty. Bittern is the target bird No facilities but a good garden centre nearby

Good time to observe migrating birds that have made it across the North Sea. We would hope to see birds in the hands at the Ringing Station. Café & toilet facilities

2024 sees us in the new surrounds of Blaby & District Social Centre. One of our members will be showing photos of the birds of India, which she has visited on several occasions in previous years.

Fineshade Wood & Eyebrook Reservoir

Keeping it local for the short winter days, we’ll take a walk around Fineshades where we should see woodland birds and raptors overhead. Facilities: Café & toilets.
