Summer Leys WLT – Cancelled due to Flooding

Situated in the Upper Nene Valley near Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, this reserve with its low-lying gravel islands will attract waders and is good for wintering waterfowl. Mature hedgerows harbour Tree Sparrows and we may see the early winter visitors such as Siskin, Fieldfare and Redwings too. Visitor Centre with café & toilet facilities NN29 7TD

Middleton Lakes RSPB

This expansive reserve in the River Tame Valley was formerly gravel pits and since being turned over to nature seems to get better each year. Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers are known to be present here, so we might be in for a rare treat. Visitor Centre with toilet facilities B78 2BB
