Situated in the Upper Nene Valley near Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, this reserve with its low-lying gravel islands will attract waders and is good for wintering waterfowl. The interaction between birds and flowers is fascinating.
This expansive reserve in the River Tame Valley was formerly gravel pits and since being turned over to nature seems to get better each year. Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers are known to be present here, so we might be in for a rare treat. Visitor Centre with toilet facilities B78 2BB
